``Work, work and more work''... that has got to be the credo of the past weeks here. I only wish more of that work showed direct results for whole brain emulation. While my ability to keep the information on minduploading.org fresh is severely constrained by time limitations, the site has recently been fortified with the addition of the news editing talents of Jesse Burson (jesse@bernztech.org) and Ansgar Koene (A.Koene@phys.uu.nl). As always, there are a million ideas and just as many things left to do on the site. Does anyone feel like running a regular editorial/opinion column at minduploading.org?
Meanwhile, Jesse has been urging tighter organization of MURG and its projects. I agree wholeheartedly! And I'd like to use this month's bulletin as an opportunity to summarize and make some suggestions.
I believe that it is the purpose of MURG to become a very real network, perhaps even organization, for focused collaborative research and development on mind uploading.
What you, and everyone else on MURG can help with, starting in July, is a concerted effort at mapping out the stages of development and projects (to the resolution that is currently feasible) required to bring about mind uploading. That also is a multi-disciplinary effort, involving much management and organization (Jesse?), technological knowledge, programming knowledge, neuroscience knowledge, and a feel for setting up projects, start-ups and public relations in the world today.
