My desktop computer uses electronics that run at a fair fraction of
lightspeed and it takes a long time just to open a new Netscape window.
What makes you think the solution to an illness can be calculated in a
short period of time?  What if it is NP-complete?  Then by definition it
would take a looooooooooooooong time.
