[MURG] The Seeing Tongue

Hi MURG,
I have read the article on The Seeing Tongue
immediately after sending my suggestions that an
electrode mesh could be placed on the cortex.
Incidentally I imagined it somewhat like illustrated
in the article except the electrodes would be placed
way denser. Just an idea:
Suppose The Seeing Tongue concept is taken a step
further and the electrode array is placed on the
occipital cortex and on the other end connected to a
camera. In case of a blind person - his vision could
be restored this way. So even if it wouldn't work for
mind uploading - an experiment like this could have
profound scientific value exploring other
applications.
