The people who have written in regards to the book, The Brain Is A Wonderful Thing, have all been kind, generous and congenial. This page lists the topics most recently addressed and the answers provided for each. As additional specific topic questions are received they will be added here in what is beginning to look like, will result in the Brain's Frequently Asked Questions. So therefore, the title. Questions are not shown, and neither are the names or contacts of the person asking the question. Don't believe its a real F.A.Q.? Submit a question. You will find one reference to free will in chapter two of the book, named after the book's name: but that is just a passing assumption to insert the topic in text order.
Your initial contact posting indicated and presented a wonderful concept of a domino effect.
The concept of domino means a single line of falling consequences.
Existence is not a singular progression. It is an exponential progression.
For it to be exponential (actually for anything to be, including cosmic expansion) it must be made of more than one part.
All things are the result of two things. From two, come one new: a combination of the two.
So the domino effect is correct in that everything comes from something previous, but the assumption of a single line of mono-progression is appling only frequency to a wave process, when amplitude is also variable.
A wave is made up of wavelength and amplitude. That is two things giving a wave properties that make it unique.
The same process extends throughout existence and in turn does not prohibit the concept of free will, it defines it very specifically.
Free will comes from the utilization of the short-term process of human brain function.
If it is not engaged very much, as in most human begins, then there will appear to be no free will, but if it is engaged it will result in a quest to find it, and if that quest is backed by vast knowledge of physical biological systems, and is engaged in the scientific method, the result will be a quest to disprove the concept of free will and in doing so, not be satisfied with the results of emperical testing, leading to a continuous search for the right disproof.
What 'free will' would actually be, is the ability to gain dominance over long-term memory through the utilization of short-term processing, and therefore provide an alternative solution or evaluation to the deeply repetitive long-term record of one's existence. 'Free will' would mean to overcome the past, not just by saying it is in the past, but by becoming aware of the present, the 'now' which is the short-term processing's contribution to consciousness and awareness.

BIG BANG
At the moment of the beginning of our Universe, which has been guessed to be an explosion since even the beginning has to come from somewhere: and what it comes from will be satisfying enough to theorists to accept as the first thing without ever asking where that came from; at that moment, the exact combination of charge states resulted in more of a 'poof' than a bang... elementary hydrogen, everywhere, throughout our entire Universe. The interaction between charge states set up gravity, equally and exponentially in all directions and the result was mass and expansion in all directions, which exponentially processed its way into clusters and then the booms started.

POVERTY
Congratulations to the person who asked the question that led to this explanation! Quite a mind. This was in reference to a little quotation contained in one of the more recent papers in EnticyPress. The statement, and the subsequent deduction offered were labored over before caving in to including them in the paper, in the hopes just such a response would be forthcoming.
1: "'How many books are in the home and how good the teacher is may be questions to consider for a middle-class child"
Content and quality delivery are the variables.
2: "but those questions are much more important when we're talking about children raised in abject poverty"
How could variables be more important? A variable is a frequency issue. The level of the variable is an amplitude issue. If weight is given to the evaluation of importance to just frequency, then the amplitude will skew the results in the wrong direction and the end result will be poverty addressed for what it is not, while the solution will be removing poverty. It is not only illogical to increase frequency without regard to amplitude, but it is self-defeating.
Such ideas are wonderful, but do not work, as solving poverty does not happen by addressing its symptoms, which is what the whole logic argument comes down to: it happens one person at a time, and it must come from within that person or the life of poverty will remain normal and there will be no solution to poverty.
Now, that makes for a nice set up for politicians wanting to keep a constituency in tow and beholding, but it means a simple mistake in evaluative logic results in the wrong thing being done for the wrong reason, even though the right motive was making it happen.
The only solution to poverty is the removal of the influence its repetitive nature has on those stuck within it.
That can only happen by each and every poverty stricken person to engage short-term processing and reject the repetitive nature of long-term's retention of the belonging in poverty, or depression or whatever negative condition continues to persist.
Those persons in poverty with more dominant short-term processing, evaluate the repetitive nature of the condition and reject it. Which is why someone from poverty, whether that is never having a dime past the bills to never having a dime at all, makes a good candidate for success if they escape the condition.
The only thing in his quote that is misleading is the standard scientific perspective of single consideration: frequency. Science ignores amplitude so it would be very logical for him to come to the conclusion he did, but logic alone defeats that misconception and unmasks the repressed perspective long enough to allow the potential to sink in, that not only is there another energy charge state, but the interaction between it, and the electromagnetic charge state is responsible for absolutely everything in our Universe.

2000 ELECTION
There is only one originating point for any new progression, and that includes all the way up to the Supreme Court. The case presented to The Court was far deeper in reality than anyone readily became aware of. It had nothing to do with political issues. It had everything to do with one important fact: The law in effect at the time in Florida dictateD the manner in which recounts were conducted and the manner in which votes were counted. That law was violated. Since the law was violated (by the democrats, and that is not arguable) then the resultS that followed were likewise illegal. The Supreme Court ruled to stop the execution of a violation of law, which when extended meant only one thing: The Supreme Court of this land, split by party lines, for the reasons they must live with, stopped a COUP!

STUTTERING
Stuttering is caused by mismatched motion outputs of the brain. Aural is faster than visual, a necessity for aural to set up dominant in short-term processing. The growth of aural dominance in short-term processing is related to the degree it is in excess of visual processing. Both aural and visual processing output to speech and muscle groups needed for speech. With aural sending signals faster than visual can regulate them, the result is stuttering, which is nothing more than a virtual loop of amplitudes stuck in repetition. The solution to it, is music. Music engages the same aural process as speech. By teaching and exposing a stutterer to music, the rhythm and logic or ordered sounds trains the aural to output un-looped, and trains the visual to blend to it, therefore permitting a strong connection for aural dominant short-term processing. I know. I stuttered to bad as a child that no one could understand a thing I said, until music. Music, then became the passion and the solution was complete. If your child stutters, he or she is not suffering a malady, they are telling you, you have a budding aural thinker, who allowed to nurture what causes the stuttering, instead of masking it or destroying it, will emerge as a faster short-term thinker with a headstart on life and an analytical mind. Whatever you do DO NOT USE DRUGS TO COMBAT STUTTERING!!! They only change the post-neuron amplitudes to match an outcome and do not match the pre-neuron amplitudes. Which means, your treating stuttering with drugs will stop it, but it will also severely DUMB DOWN the person and ROB them of a future of mental control.
There are other formerly answered topics, and given the time, some will be added here. New questions will receive an earlier response as being faced with a question is too tempting to pass up, and no where near as difficult as searching thousands of email files.
