Sure, I can do my best to answer whatever questions you have.
The only Vinge I've read is that one short story as I read that at some school is used to be basically unofficial required reading for the computer science Ph.D. program so I figured it would be worth reading. And indeed, it was entertaining.

I'm trying to think of a web resource about neuroscience specific to the details of mind uploading, but I can't think of one offhand. Does anyone on the list know of a good one? I'd be tempted to write one if no recent one exists...

Hi murg, Hi Eric,

I will do some more reading including some Vernor
Vinge as you recommend. I have to go back thru the
discussions. It was starting to get confused on both
sides. Also as you suggest I should try to draw my
idea in some organized way including some
illustrations. I might have some specific questions -
could you help me there?
For the time being I have to withdraw from the
discussion for 2-3 weeks. Other things require
attention.

Kind Regards,

Thomas Weber
