I agree. However, due to another reason. We don't have to invent anything new for MU, but to model existing substance.

Hi everyone,
 
  I've always thought that the main problem to achieve a true human-grade AI was not the processing power (it is of course abosolutely required) but rather: how to program intention ?
 
I don't think processing power is sufficient for that, and neither the need for survival. (Besides, the first step would be to program the need for survival...)
 
That's why I think that mind uploading will be achieved much more sooner than such an AI.
