Neuroscience Network will take place from September 15-17 2004 at
Loughborough University. The keynote speaker will be Professor David
Terman (Ohio State). The meeting currently has over 20 confirmed
participants. The aims of the Network are to use and develop techniques
from nonlinear dynamical systems applied to problems in neuroscience,
particularly problems involving human neural data.
Confirmed Participants:
Dr Clare Anderson (Loughborough)
Dr Peter Ashwin (Exeter)
Dr Gareth Barnes (Aston)
Jon Borensen (Exeter)
Professor Roman Borisyuk (Plymouth)
Dr Michael Breakspear (Sydney)
Dr Steve Coombes (Nottingham)
Professor Mike Denham (Plymouth)
Professor Bob van Dijk (Vrije University, Amsterdam)
Dr Stephen Eglen (Cambridge)
Avgis Hadjipapas (Aston)
Dr Lee Harrison (Functional Imaging Laboratory)
Professor Jim Horne (Loughborough)
Adam Jones (Loughborough)
Professor Juergen Kurths (Potsdam)
Dr Peter Latham (Gatsby Institute)
Dr Gabriel Lord (Herriot-Watt)
Dr Will Penny (Functional Imaging Laboratory)
Dr Rasmus Petersen (UMIST)
Professor Alan Roberts (Bristol)
Serafim Rodrigues (Loughborough)
Professor Cornelius Stam (Vrije University, Amsterdam)
Professor David Terman (Ohio State)
Dr Yulia Timofeeva (Herriot-Watt)
Dr John Terry (Loughborough) (conference organizer)
Professor David Williams (Loughborough)
Dr Will Woods (York)
The cost of attendance at the meeting is £200/£175, which includes
conference registration, 2 nights accommodation in either
ensuite/standard, and all meals and refreshments.
There will be a number of talks on the afternoon of the first day, the
Thursday will consist of brief presentations from Network members
describing open problems and interests. Friday am will be kept free to
enable discussions regarding potential collaborative projects between
workshop attendees. Friday pm will consist of a number of invited talks
on the dynamics of neural systems.
If you would like to attend the conference please visit
http://majrt-mac.lboro.ac.uk/~majrt/network.html and register under the
meetings section - further information about the Network is also
available at the site. The Network is sponsored by the Leverhulme
