                 ** Extended Deadline 5/30/2004 **
                          Special Session
** Neural and Mathematical Modeling of Neuroimaging Data **
                    WSEAS International Conference on
                      Mathematical Biology and Ecology
                    August 17-19, Corfu Island, Greece

Commiittee:
Barry Horwitz, Ph. D. (National Institute of Health)
R. Todd Constable, Ph. D. (Yale University)
Joanne S. Luciano, Ph. D. (Harvard Medical School, Massachusetts General
Hospital)

Organizer:
Michiro Negishi, Ph. D. (Yale University)
                              Michiro.Negishi at yale.edu

Topics :
1. Modeling methodologies applied to neuroimaging data (e.g. EEG, MEG, fMRI,
PET, cell recording data)
- Structural Equation Models
- Neural Networks
- Partial Differential Equations
- Other models, including Hidden Markov Models, Finite State Machines, Cell
Automata, Petri-nets
2. Analysis / modeling of coherence and oscillation in neuroimaging data
3. Analysis / modeling of multimodal imaging data, including EEG-fMRI, EEG-MEG.

Aim: To provide an opportunity for researchers who are working on the modeling
of neuroimaging data to present their latest work and to know the latest
developments in other laboratories, as well as to exchange ideas and opinions.
Papers will be included in the conference proceedings, and selected papers will
appear in the WSEAS Transactions on Biology and Biomedicines.

Submissions:
Please send your submissions and questions to michiro.negishi at yale.edu . You can
also submit your paper by visiting
http://www.worldses.org/conferences/2004/corfu/mabe/index.html
and filling in the name of this special session where required. Papers should be
up to six pages and the document should be in .PDF, postscript, word, or RTF
format. The paper deadline was extended to May 31 (there will be no further
extension).
