I've been once very fond of Zope and similiar (Twisted is definitely
something I'd use if I had time).

I have to settle for something lean, mean, secure, good-looking and
well-maintained. Plone doesn't fit that description. 

Right now I prefer a few VServer jails/VIA C3 box, which is cheap, 
low-power yet not high-performance.
